If I only got one of them, I wouldn't be suspicious. Especially the first mail that mentioned Fatih Syuhud's blog. But reading all those three; similar content, anyone would be wondering. The second and third mail mentioned about seeing my profile on a web site. Geez... that was stupid. That email address of mine only I use for mailing about something to do with this blog. I never used yulichand@gmail.com for other things. For different cause I use different email address.

Yes I know about mail scam "winning lottery" or "abandoned money in some African bank". I already wrote about that here. But this kind of scam I didn't know. So I decided to play on. May be I'm that charming XD... From what I could read, didn't give me any harm yet.

I replied to all of them saying "Why don't you give me more informations about yourself?".

One of them replied shortly. Here is the reply:

Dearest One.
I am more than happy when i saw your mail. How was your day?,Mine is a little bit cold over here in Dakar Senegal. My name is Miss Suzee Goodluck 22years from Ivory Coast in West Africa,5.8ft tall, fair in complexion,(never married before) and presently i am residing in the refugee camp here in Dakar as a result of the civil war that was fought in my country.
My late father Dr Dion Goodluck was the managing director of Dion Manifaturing industry (W.A) and he was the personal advicer to the former head of state (Late Dr Robert Guei) before the rebels attacked our house one early morning and killed my mother and my father in cold blood.

It was only me that is alive now and I managed to make my way to a near by country Senegal where i am leaving now.I would like to know more about you.
Your likes and dislikes,your hobbies and what you are doing presently.I will tell you more about myself in my next mail.

Aha... Now I could guess where it leads. Oh by the way, how anyone in refugee camp still has luxury to access internet to connect with someone she doesn't know? This must be one of scam type. So I did google and I found out about ROMANCE SCAM.

Based on wikipedia, a romance scam occurs when strangers pretend romantic intentions, gain the affection of victims, and then use that goodwill to gain access to their victims' money, bank accounts, credit cards, passports, e-mail accounts, and/or national identification numbers or by getting the victims to commit financial fraud on their behalf.

Scammers Exposed stated about them that "These filthy scumbags lurk in the shadows and hide their identities behind fake names and phoney IDs. They skulk around the internet like cockroaches stealing, cheating, lying and thieving. They will steal from anyone, they have no morals, they use stolen credit cards, they make false claims for asylum and benefits, they want anything they can get for free. They would rather steal from you than do a days work.".

Their modus usually post profiles on dating websites to fish for victims. Upon finding victims scammers lure them to more private means of communication to allow for fraud to occur. Many scammers favor religious dating websites such as Christian dating sites or even Moslem dating sites, because the users are more complacent. Religious site users tend to assume that because they are on the religious site, their fellow users will have high moral values.

Hell... I never joined any dating site but they still tried to trick me. I never trust dating site anyway. The place where people can be whatever they want (or dream) to be. And recently, what is that, dating on cellular content through SMS? Oh no...

So if you are in internet-relationship or any online-relationship with someone, be aware! Romance scam is exist. There are already a lot victims. Don't join them!

Well, now I'm wondering why so many black people in Jakarta? No offense, man.

If you're black and in Indonesia reading this post; I know you're here just trying to make a living, far from family. That's must be hard. But many of you just doing crime here; drug dealers, scammers, con artists and gigolos. So if you like it here and you love your race, please help our authorities stopping those crimes.

One of those scammers is Jezreel "Jay-jay" Eke who lives in Jakarta, commented like this on race relations:
